4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt continued his strong spring by firing 3 2/3 shutout innings against the Angels on Saturday. Bassitt allowed one hit and two walks while striking out five in his third start of Cactus League play. The 32-year-old righty had a strong 2020 with a 2.29 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP, both career-bests. However, a repeat performance in 2021 may be a tall order. Bassitt posted a 4.46 SIERA and a 4.49 xFIP so fantasy managers should factor in some ERA regression.
