3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed two runs across seven innings to earn his sixth win of the season Tuesday against the Diamondbacks. Bassitt scattered four hits and a walk while picking up six strikeouts in his latest strong outing. The 32-year-old righty is now 6-2 with a 3.44 ERA supported by a solid 3.01 xERA and 3.07 FIP. He's got 86 strikeouts against just 18 walks and is sporting a career-high 10.9 percent swinging-strike rate. Bassitt has been nothing short of excellent this season and has another strong matchup lined up Sunday against a Royals offense that is below league average against RHP.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
