Chris Bassitt Fires Seven Strong Innings In No-Decision Friday
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed one run on five hits, but had to settle for a no-decision Friday against the Rangers. Bassitt struck out eight and didn't walk a batter in his latest brilliant performance. Bassitt has gone seven innings in six of his last eight starts and has given up three runs or fewer in all six starts. On the season, the veteran righty is sporting a 3.19 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP, and has 147 strikeouts across 144 innings, which matches his career-high for innings in a season. He's got a career-best 25.7% strikeout rate and a 28.2% CSW implying he should be able to keep up this success. Bassitt is a must-start pitcher in fantasy and has a strong matchup in Cleveland next time out.
