Chris Bassitt Notches Tenth Win Sunday At Texas
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed one run in seven innings to earn the win on Sunday at the Rangers. Bassitt finished the first half with a 10-2 record, a 3.28 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and 118 strikeouts in 118 innings. The 32-year-old is tied with Cleveland's Aaron Civale for the American League lead in wins and he was named to the All-Star team for the first time in his career. Bassitt has earned his success this season as his xERA (3.26) and FIP (3.41) both back up his ERA and his 25 percent strikeout rate is a career-high. Bassitt should be rostered in all fantasy leagues; he'll see either the Indians or Angels in his first start after the break and should be started in either matchup.
