Chris Bassitt Picks Up Second Win
3 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Chris Bassitt threw a gem in a 10-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. Bassitt allowed just one run over six innings of work while striking out six and walking two. The only mistake he made in the game was a solo homer off the bat of Daulton Varsho in the sixth inning. Bassitt is off to an excellent start with his new team, posting a 2-0 record, 0.75 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, and 14 strikeouts over 12 innings of work. He is lined up to face off against the San Francisco Giants next time out.
