Chris Bassitt Rebounds With Gem
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Chris Bassitt delivered his strongest performance of the year Tuesday, throwing eight innings of shutout ball. He gave up just three hits and a walk while striking out seven batters to earn his fifth win of the season. It's a welcome outcome for Bassitt, who had allowed at least four runs in four of his last five outings. Bassitt's season ERA and WHIP are a solid 4.01 and 1.18 with 81 strikeouts across 76 1/3 innings in 13 starts. He should continue to rack up wins for one of the best teams in the league.
