Chris Bassitt Spins Three Strong Innings In Return
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt (face) threw three shutout innings in his triumphant return from a facial injury after he was hit with a line drive on August 17. Bassitt allowed just one hit and one walk while picking up four strikeouts on 48 pitches. The right-hander was having a career year before landing on the IL. Bassitt is 12-4 on the season with a 3.16 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and 9.2 K/9, the first time in his career he's averaged more than a strikeout-per-inning. Fantasy managers that held on to Bassitt should feel comfortable starting him next week at Seattle.
