3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed two runs in 7 2/3 innings pitched to earn his fourth win of the season Saturday at the Angels. Bassitt was in control all night as he scattered five hits and a walk while picking up eight strikeouts. The 32-year-old righty continues to be money for the A's and fantasy managers alike. Bassitt is sporting a 3.69 ERA on the season and his ERA indicators FIP (3.17), xFIP (3.59), and SIERA (3.56) all suggest his success is legit. He's got a 65:15 strikeout-to-walk ratio and is sporting a career-best 11.6 swinging-strike rate. He'll look to keep the good times rolling in a rematch with these Angels in Oakland on Thursday.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
