4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed two runs in six innings with eight strikeouts in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday. Bassitt allowed five hits and two walks while throwing 63 of his 90 pitches for strikes. The 32-year-old righty got off to a slow start with matchups against the Dodgers and Astros, but he's given up two runs in back-to-back starts as the schedule eased up. Bassitt isn't much help in the strikeout department with a 20 percent strikeout rate for his career, but he can eat innings and provide decent ratios when he has a good matchup.
