Chris Carson Says Seahawks Offense Is “More Explosive”
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson is coming off the 2020 season where he had trouble staying healthy. Carson played in only 12 games last season, and when he was active he did not receive the workload that he was previously able to handle. The 26-year-old carried the ball just 141 times (11.8 per game) for 681 yards and five rushing touchdowns. With the Seahawks bringing in Shane Waldron as offensive coordinator, Carson should be able to get closer to the 278 carries he handled in the 2019 campaign. "Shane does a great job of making everything balanced, mixing up different schemes. It's a more explosive offense," Carson said. Going into his fifth season in Seattle, the 2017 seventh-round pick is fully healthy and ready to get back to elite form. In what should be a more balanced offense, Carson is likely to see enough work to post solid RB2 numbers for fantasy managers. He could be in for some positive touchdown regression as well, potentially giving him a higher floor than some other RB2 options.
