Chris Carson Set To Become Free Agent
4 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks will not franchise tag running back Chris Carson, making him a free agent when the league year opens later in March. Carson had two 1,000-yard seasons in his four years with the Seahawks, but averaged just 56.8 rushing yards per game last season. With some young backs on their roster like DeeJay Dallas, spending money to keep Carson around just wasn't in the cards for Seattle. Carson will look to find a new home in free agency, but it might be hard for him to wind up somewhere where he won't be part of a running back committee, lowering his future value.
