3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson (neck) is expected to have season-ending surgery on his neck and will be placed on Injured Reserve, according to sources. Carson will wind up playing in just four games in 2021 due to his neck injury, which never improved enough for him to get back on the field as Seattle's lead back. The 27-year-old will finish his campaign with 54 rushing attempts for 232 yards and two touchdowns (4.3 yards per carry) while adding six catches on six targets for an additional 29 yards. Alex Collins now becomes more attractive the rest of the season as Seattle's primary backfield option, although he split the snaps pretty evenly with Travis Homer last weekend. Seattle's offense should be better than they were last week, and Collins will be a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex for the rest of the season with Carson done.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
