4 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman/designated hitter Chris Davis will not be at the ballpark for Wednesday’s game against the New York Yankees, per manager Brandon Hyde. Hyde has been mum on the situation surrounding Davis, but the slugger had recently expressed a desire to wear a mask while on the field moving forward. After a prolifically bad start to 2019, Davis has again scuffled to open 2020, going 1-for-11 across three games. Renato Nunez will handle first base duties Wednesday without Davis around.--Jesse Borek
