4 years agoHouston Astros right-hander Chris Devenski is battling right elbow soreness and has been put on the injured list. Devenski was tagged for three runs in his most recent outing last Sunday. Houston’s pitching staff has been taxed by injuries in the early part of the 2020 year, with yet another valuable piece going by the wayside. An All-Star as recently as 2017, Devenski -- who has averaged better than a strikeout per inning each of the last three years -- could have been in line for an increased role, but can now be safely dropped in all season-long formats. Roberto Osuna and Ryan Pressly figure to see a massive share of important duties while Devenski remains out.--Jesse Borek
