Chris Flexen Allows Five Runs Saturday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Chris Flexen endured a rare rough outing Saturday, giving up five runs on six hits and two walks in five innings to the Arizona Diamondbacks. He struck out four batters and took the loss, dropping his record to 11-6. Entering this contest, Flexen had posted seven straight starts with three runs allowed or less, making this stinker against a weak opponent even more surprising. Flexen should still be a solid fantasy option going forward with his 3.73 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 107 strikeouts in 156 2/3 innings.
