Chris Flexen Earns 10th Win Over Rays
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Chris Flexen reached the 10-win plateau Monday in an 8-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Flexen allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out six batters. By pitch count, it was his longest outing of the season at 113 pitches. Flexen has put up strong ratios all year, with a 3.75 ERA and 1.26 WHIP, but those numbers are not superlative enough to make up for just 75 strikeouts in 115 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers should look to utilize him when in need of a safe option.
