4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Chris Flexen threw three strong innings in his last Cactus League outing, allowing only two hits against the Cincinnati Reds. Flexen struck out three batters, and finishes his spring with a 5.06 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings. However, if you exclude one disastrous three-inning appearance against the Angels, Flexen has only allowed three runs in his 13 1/3 remaining innings. This is an indication of what Flexen offers - strikeout upside with the occasional implosion. For now, he belongs on waiver wires in fantasy leagues.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
