2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) has been cleared to begin training camp despite having knee surgery Jan. 3 for a torn ACL. The Buccaneers obviously won't push Godwin in training camp, but this is big news for the 26-year-old wideout this summer. The fact that he won't begin camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list is a good sign that he could be ready for Week 1, although that's still up in the air. The Bucs also signed seven-time Pro Bowler Julio Jones on Tuesday, giving the team a little more insurance in case Godwin isn't ready to go for the season opener. Godwin had a career-high 98 receptions for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games before his injury in 2021, and although he's riskier in 2022 because of his injury, he could be an excellent value pick as a WR3 if he's healthy and ready to go by Week 1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
