Chris Herndon IV Begins Suspension
5 years agoNew York Jets tight end Chris Herndon IV has officially stepped away from the team to begin serving his four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Herndon will be eligible to rejoin the team on Oct. 7. Though the suspension is only four games, fantasy owners will be without Herndon for five weeks due to the Jets' Week 4 bye. Former Texan Ryan Griffin will serve as the team's starting tight end for the first four weeks, but he will be a touchdown-or-bust option and fantasy owners should look elsewhere when filling their tight end spot. Expect slot receiver Jamison Crowder and the big-bodied Quincy Enunwa to pick up extra targets that would have gone to a solid pass-catching tight end like Herndon while he is away from the team.
