Chris Herndon Expected to Make Season Debut in Week 10
5 years agoDespite his questionable designation, Jets tight end Chris Herndon is expected to be active for the first time this season against the Giants on Sunday. Herndon technically suited up in Week 9, but was only there in case of emergency. Herndon served a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, and then was sidelined by a hamstring injury. The popular breakout pick will slide into a spiraling Jets offense, but given his fill-in Ryan Griffin's relative success over the last three weeks (11-117-2) and the matchup with the beatable Giants secondary, Herndon projects as a low-end TE1.
