3 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Chris Owings (thumb) may begin a rehab assignment on Sunday, according to skipper Bud Black. The 29-year-old was eligible to come off the 60-day injured list on Wednesday, a space he has occupied since the beginning of April because of a sprained thumb. While Black's revelation certainly indicates Owings is making progress, fantasy managers may still need to wait a few more weeks before he is ready to return to the big club.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
