Chris Paddack Bounces Back With Quality Start
4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack bounced back with strong six innings Wednesday against the Texas Rangers, settling for a no-decision. After getting manhandled by the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 13, Paddack permitted just one earned run via four hits and two walks, striking out five. The 24-year-old’s batted-ball data is still alarmingly poor, but the solid outing drops his ERA to a 4.26 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 7.7 K/9 through 31 2/3 frames. His fantasy stock has dropped to a mid-level starter but he should be in lineups next Tuesday against the visiting Seattle Mariners.
