Chris Paddack Fans Five But Takes Loss
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack registered his first quality start Thursday, yielding three earned runs in six innings in a loss against the Cincinnati Reds. Paddack struck out five and only allowed three hits and a walk but was the victim of two long balls. The 23-year-old rookie now holds a tidy 2.25 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 9.5 K/9 through 20 frames this season. Thursday was his first time completing six innings in four tries this year. Paddack is firmly in the fantasy trust circle, but he’ll have a tough test next Friday in the nation’s capital against the Washington Nationals.
