Chris Paddack Lit Up In His Shortest Start Of The Season
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack got chased in his shortest start of the year Friday, giving up five runs over just 2 1/3 innings against the Diamondbacks. It's a step back for the righty, who had been pitching better since mid-May after a rough beginning to the season. Paddack, who is 4-5 with a 4.64 ERA in 2021, may be limited by his team's six-man rotation, but he is still a mixed-league fantasy asset with San Diego's potent offense backing him. He'll try to get back on track next Thursday at Cincinnati, but we'd be vary wary of starting him in that matchup against a Reds offense that has been pretty strong in 2021.
