Chris Paddack Rebounds From His Shortest Start
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Chris Paddack bounced back from his shortest start of the season, tossing seven innings against Philadelphia on Friday. The right-hander allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five. He didn't factor into the decision, however. In his prior start, Paddack was shelled for five runs in 2 1/3 innings against Arizona. Paddack, who is 4-5 with a 4.56 ERA on the season, had a rough April but is still a mixed-league asset, considering he's backed by a strong offense and flashed potential in 2019. Next week he lines up to face Washington and Max Scherzer at home on Wednesday, so fantasy managers might want to keep him on the bench for that one.
