4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack was walloped for six earned runs over just 2 1/3 innings in a Game 1 wild-card series loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Paddack unraveled immediately, serving up five knocks and four runs to start the game before being yanked after yielding eight total hits two frames later. Earning the start due to injuries to starters Mike Clevinger (biceps) and Dinelson Lamet (biceps), the 24-year-old’s season-long struggles were on full display. With a thin rotation, Paddack will likely get another opportunity if the Padres survive the Cards in this series. If Wednesday was his final start of 2020, he’ll be a tough sell as an SP4 in fantasy drafts next season.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
