Chris Paddack Toes Rubber Against Former Club
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack will attempt to stop the team’s four-game losing streak when he takes on the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. Paddack, an eighth-round pick by the Marlins in 2015 and dealt in 2016, will have some extra motivation as he faces his former organization. The 23-year-old has been mostly spectacular in his rookie campaign, posting a 2.84 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 9.5 K/9 in 82 1/3 frames. While the Friars have struggled against the Fish, Paddack is a top-tier DFS option for Wednesday’s matchup. With a potential innings limit on the horizon, season-long managers should acknowledge his gradually diminishing fantasy value down the stretch.
