2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (finger) will visit with a specialist in Boston and is confident that he'll pitch again in 2022 after fracturing his left pinkie finger on a line drive hit by New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks on Sunday. The Red Sox have given no timetable for his return, but Sale thinks he'll be ready to go in four to six weeks. The team will know more in a few days. Fantasy managers should expect the 33-year-old southpaw to be out for around two months. It's a tough break for a pitcher that was making only his second start of the season on Sunday after just returning from a fractured rib cage. We wouldn't blame you if you cut him loose in a shallow-mixed, single-season league.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
