Chris Sale Gets Fifth Win With Minor Flaw
7 years agoBoston Red Sox ace Chris Sale picked up his fifth win of the season in a 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night. Sale has not been his usual overwhelmingly dominant self. However, even in his human-like performance, he performed as he did Tuesday. He allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits in 7 2/3 innings while striking out nine and walking two. Sale did give out party favors Tuesday, as he granted rookie Willy Adames the opportunity to hit his first home of his career in only his second at-bat. Sale will attempt to continue his dominance, without favors, when he brings his 12.1 K/9 to face off against Atlanta.
