7 years agoBoston Red Sox ace Chris Sale gave a below-average performance, by his standards, in a 5-4 win against the Blue Jays on Thursday. Sale had to throw 104 pitches to get through six innings. He scattered three runs on four hits while only striking out four batters and walking two but still earned a quality start. Sale has only had one outing with the Red Sox prior to Thursday with four or fewer strikeouts. He will have a very favorable matchup in his next outing against the Kansas City Royals.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
