5 years agoAfter getting tagged for six earned runs in less than six innings against the Yankees on July 28, it would've been hard to get much worse for Boston starter Chris Sale as he lined up to face the Yankees again in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. But Sale proved those doubters wrong by not only giving up eight runs in less than four innings but was also ejected from the game along with manager Alex Cora, with Boston eventually losing 9 - 2. While always a must-start, Sale is continuing his seemingly now annual tradition of torturing his fantasy owners with strings of horrible starts down the fantasy stretch, as Sale is now 2 - 4 with a 7.29 ERA in his last eight starts. The veteran left-hander will look to get back on track against the Angels on Thursday.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
