5 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Chris Sale hit the injured list Saturday with elbow inflammation while Ryan Brasier gets the call-up to take his roster spot. The southpaw is visiting Dr. James Andrews, which is never a good sign, and there's a real possibility his season is in jeopardy. We'll likely know more later in the week on his status, but with the Sox falling out of contention it wouldn't be surprising to see the club err on the side of caution with their ace. Sale has had a disappointing 2019 sporting a 6-11 record with a 4.40 ERA, but has kept his fantasy value afloat with a remarkable 218 strikeouts in 147.1 IP.
