Chris Sale Sharp In Season Debut
2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale was reinstated from the injured list prior to Tuesday's start against the Tampa Bay Rays, and he was sharp from the start, going five innings without allowing a run. He gave up just three hits and a walk while striking out five. While injuries limited Sale to just nine starts in 2021, he's long-established as a top-end fantasy starter when healthy. With a career 3.02 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 2064 strikeouts in 1677 1/3 innings, fantasy managers should have Sale rostered wherever possible. He'll look to back up this strong performance in his next matchup, which will either come against the Yankees in the last game before the All-Star break or in the first series following the Midsummer Classic.
