6 years agoInjury? What injury? Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale showed no ill effects during his return to the mound on Sunday afternoon. Sale had very minor inflammation in his shoulder last week which caused him to go onto the disabled list. The perennial Cy Young candidate went five scoreless innings allowing only a single hit while striking out 12 and walking nobody. Sale lowered his season ERA to a stringy 1.97 with the effort while improving his record to 12-4. In his last seven starts, Sale owns a 6-0 record with a staggering 0.20 ERA and 0.64 WHIP. He has only allowed a single run in his past 44 innings. There may not be another pitcher more locked in than Sale right now.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
