5 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Chris Sale struck out eight Blue Jays in the team's 7-5 victory on Friday. Sale took the no-decision giving up four runs (three earned) over five innings of work marking his shortest outing since April 23. It wasn't the sharpest of outings for the left-hander as he gave up seven hits and a pair of walks, but the healthy strikeout total helped him negate these inefficiencies. The left-hander has had a resurgence since his season got off to a shaky start turning a 6.30 ERA at the end of April to a 3.59 mark through 16 starts. Sale also sits second in the AL with 138 strikeouts, making him a bonafide ace despite his dismal 3-7 record. Expect Sale to continue to put up stellar numbers in a matchup versus his former White Sox club next week at Fenway Park.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
