7 years agoBoston Red Sox ace Chris Sale performed as expected of an elite pitcher but did not factor into the decision of a 5-3 loss to the Blue Jays. He gave up a game-tying homer in the bottom of the seventh to catcher Luke Maile, who also hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 12th inning. Sale came on in the bottom of the ninth after already throwing 104 pitches but continued his dominance. His line at the end of the night was six hits in nine innings allowing three runs and striking out 15 batters while walking zero. Sale will take on the Oakland Athletics in his next start.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
