Chris Sale Working on Strength From Start to Finish
7 years agoTim Britton of the Providence Journal has reported that Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale is executing a plan to increase his physical ability to stay strong and prevent fatigue at the end of the season. Sale stated he has had conversations with the trainer and manager regarding a plan that includes not only preseason and in-season, but also offseason activities as well. In 2017, Sale had a 2.90 ERA and a remarkable 308 strikeouts. However, his August and September ERA was 4.38 and 3.72, respectively. This type of initiative and discipline for continual self-improvement is what continues to put him among the elite starting pitchers. This is also why you should continue to draft him no later than the second round.
