Chris Shaw Has Hit Three Home Runs For Triple-A
7 years agoOutfielder Chris Shaw who is the Giants number two prospect according to MLB.com has been off to a hot start in Triple-A Sacramento. Shaw made the switch from first base to the outfield this spring and no matter what position he is playing, he continues to hit. Over his first 42 at-bats, he has hit .310 with three home runs and 10 RBI. Shaw like Steven Duggar is blocked at the big league level and would need a trade or injury to make an immediate impact in the fantasy world. Shaw still needs to work on his plate discipline as he is prone to the strike and does not draw many walks. So far this season he has 16 strikeouts and just three walks. If he can work out those kinks, he is a name for those in dynasty leagues to remember. He is likely to get some time in the majors at some point this year, but the playing time is unlikely to be there for him to make an instant impact.
