2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor (foot) was reinstated from the injured list on Friday and will start at second base and hit fifth in the batting order against San Diego Padres left-hander Sean Manaea. Taylor was out for a month with a fractured foot, but he'll return on Friday night for the start of a big series against the division-rival Padres in Los Angeles. This will be the 31-year-old's first start of the year on the infield, and he could see more time at second base moving forward to protect his foot. On the year, he's hitting .238/.319/.409 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 32 runs scored and six stolen bases in 252 at-bats. Gavin Lux has been playing second base mostly, but his bat should remain in the lineup regularly despite Taylor's return, as he's hitting .298 on the season in 309 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
