Chris Taylor Could Start Rehab Assignment Next Week
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor (foot) took batting practice on Saturday, which was his most significant baseball activity since breaking his foot. Skipper Dave Roberts said that it's possible Taylor could start a minor league rehab assignment next week. Taylor has been fielding grounders and throwing, but he hasn't resumed running, which will be his final hurdle before getting back into game action. The 31-year-old utility man has been sidelined since July 4 with a small fracture in his left foot, but he could return to the team later this month or in early August. He has produced modestly for fantasy managers in deeper leagues, slashing .238/.319/.409 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 32 runs scored and six stolen bases in 285 plate appearances over 74 games.
