Chris Thompson A Deep-League PPR Option In Week 1
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson is set to resume his role as a pass-catching threat out of the backfield. He's coming off an injury-plagued and disappointing 2018 season, so any high usage rates or efficiency will be a sight for sore eyes within the fantasy community. His volume in Week 1 figures to depend on game script, as the Redskins will undoubtedly try to rely on Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson to move the ball on the ground and control the pace of the game against Philadelphia. They could have their hands forced if a capable Eagles offense gets out to an early lead. For fantasy owners conducting their drafts this weekend, there are worse ways to spend a late pick than by taking a flier on Thompson. But he will need a lot to work in his favor if he's going to provide any value in starting lineups to begin the season.
