Chris Thompson A Dicey Play Even If Active
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson has logged his first practice activity in more than a month this week, pointing his potential to suit up for Week 12 in the right direction. If he plays, bear in mind that he'll be relegated almost exclusively to a pass-catching role behind Adrian Peterson and Derrius Guice. The Lions present an inviting matchup for a running back with Thompson's role, as they have allowed the most receiving touchdowns and third-most receiving yards to the position. Still, the volume will need to be there in order for Thompson to capitalize, and it's at the very least unclear how he will fit into the offense after an extended absence and with a rookie at quarterback.
