6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson has been battling injury since a Week 5 contest against the Saints, and his status for Week 8 remains uncertain. If he's able to go on Sunday against the Giants, it could be back to business as usual. The Giants are one of the more fantasy-friendly matchups for opposing running backs, and are especially susceptible to production from pass-catchers like Thompson. They've allowed four receiving touchdowns to the position, which is tied for the most in the NFL. His investors could be forgiven for benching him even if he is active in order to see how he performs coming off an injury, but with several productive running backs on bye in Week 8, you could do worse than placing a healthy Thompson in the flex spot.--Chris O'Reilly
