5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson touched the ball a season-low five times for 20 total yards on Sunday. Washington's success on the ground with Adrian Peterson minimized the need to turn to Thompson as often as usual in the passing game, and he naturally turned in his worst fantasy outing of the season. For his fantasy owners, it's worth taking Week 6 with a grain of salt. The Redskins' opponent was the Dolphins, after all. Up next is a brutal three-game stretch against the 49ers, Vikings, and Bills. Thompson should reprise his role as a pass-catching threat in those matchups, as Peterson isn't likely to run all over those teams like he did to the Dolphins.--Chris O'Reilly
