Chris Thompson Sees Seven Targets In Loss
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson was tied with Terry McLaurin for the team lead in targets at seven each in Sunday's defeat. While Thompson only turned the volume into five catches for 17 yards, the silver lining here is that it doesn't appear to matter much who the Redskins play at quarterback. Thompson is likely to maintain a featured pass-catching role regardless, which in turn renders him one of the few players in this offense worth fantasy consideration. Up next for Thompson is the Dolphins in a matchup with number-one-pick-at-the-2020-draft implications. Thompson could reasonably be expected to return PPR value in Week 6 if his team can stop spinning its wheels on offense.
