Chris Thompson Targeted Eight Times In Week 2
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson caught five passes for 48 yards on Sunday. His eight targets trailed only Terry McLaurin, and his 18 targets after two games are the most of any player on the team. Thompson's level of involvement has largely stemmed from a nearly nonexistent running game, which has made him the only back on the team who has been able to offer any production. There is no evidence after two weeks that Washington's rushing attack is poised for an improvement, and their next opponent is the vaunted Chicago defense. Expect Thompson to continue being utilized heavily, especially if his teammates at the position continue to be ineffective.
