6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (ribs) and left tackle Trent Williams (thumb) both missed practice again on Friday and are unlikely to play in Week 9 against the Falcons. Neither player has practiced all week, all but ruling them out. Thompson continues to battle injuries and is quickly falling off the fantasy radar, even in PPR leagues. Adrian Peterson continues to be an effective workhorse and will remain a strong RB2 in a great matchup with Atlanta on Sunday. Williams is dealing with a dislocated thumb and saw a specialist on Thursday. His absence is bad news for quarterback Alex Smith's protection on the blind side.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
