4 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Christian Arroyo (hand) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a left hand contusion, according to the MLB transactions log. Arroyo was hit on the hand by a pitch in the game on Wednesday, and last appeared as a pinch runner late in the game on Thursday. He hasn't hit for much power early on, but he's still managed a respectable .275/.333/.377 triple-slash line with a stolen base, five RBI and nine runs scored in 23 games. Marwin Gonzalez has taken over the bulk of the playing time at second in Arroyo's absence, but he isn't providing much value in fantasy so far with a .228 average and .657 OPS in 29 games this year.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
