3 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Christian Arroyo (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a bone bruise in his knee. Arroyo has been out since June 20, when he sustained the injury colliding with Kike Hernandez in the field. He's been successful this season, especially of late, with a .264/.324/.432 slash line and four home runs, but there is no need to hold him on rosters while he's out in shallow formats. Hernandez and Michael Chavis, who was called up to take Arroyo's roster spot, should split time at the keystone with Arroyo sidelined.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
