Christian Arroyo Steals Two Bases Thursday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Christian Arroyo went 2-for-4 with a run scored, two stolen bases, a walk and a strikeout in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Arroyo showed that his leg was just fine in this one after missing one game. The stolen bases were only his fourth and fifth of the season, so he's not really a player worth targeting for his speed in deeper leagues. The 27-year-old has been very useful as a utility player for Boston this year, though, with a .289/.333/.428 slash line, five home runs, 22 RBI, 26 runs scored and five steals in 201 at-bats. He's been even better in August, too, going 27-for-79 (.342) with a homer, nine RBI, 10 runs scored and two swipes in 20 games.
